i think you were going for the simple approach but try for more complicated synths and see what happens?

also change the crash that comes in every 4 beats?
It really clashes with the smoothness of the song and sounds out of place.

also at the end (about 2mins) try changing that up and down synth with a app and see what it sounds like?

Thought i'ed give you what you wanted. somethings to improve on.

i think on the chorus you should add a high cut off bass to get more of an impact.

because the whole song is pretty much the chorus with 1 or 2 bits taken out, but yeah tight song love the deep trumpet synth?
